"My City" Birthday!

We, the "My City" platform team, created this page to mark exactly 9 years of our work on August 6th.

Honestly, it's still hard for us to explain to friends and family what we do and how it happened... In 2016, we only thought about Odesa and how to make it a city where people would want to live and create. In 2024, we support NGOs and volunteer initiatives from all corners of Ukraine, raise funds with them for social projects, implement them, organize educational events, and even mentor independent media.

Two separate teams work on helping Ukraine's Security and Defense Forces and animal adoption from shelters.

There's a simple reason why we do so many different things - we care about the country we live in and what will be here tomorrow. Whatever field we implement projects in, one thing remains constant: we always want to support those who care about others.

That's why on our birthday we're opening a fundraiser to support ideas and dreams of authors on the platform.

Our goal is 150,000 hryvnias, which will be distributed among social projects published on "My City".

What are these projects?

From people for people first and foremost. Any donation can help, for example, "Dia.MY" Charitable Organization publish a children's book about inclusive society.

Or prove to Bohdana from Drohobych that society cares about military partners , and she can implement her support project.

Or help Kharkiv youth preserve cultural heritage of their native city despite constant shelling.

Or impact the problem of homeless animals together with Oksana from Izyaslav, Khmelnytskyi region, help the shelter.

We want these and other projects to be implemented.
