Mom-mobile fundraiser: help for Kharkiv moms
Hello! We are the "Moms on vacation" project.
Happy moms and healthy children – the main goal of our initiative.
Before the war, we united Kharkiv mothers and did everything so they could find new acquaintances and friends with their children. However, our life changed on February 24. From the very beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, we understood that many mothers with their babies would remain in Kharkiv for certain reasons. Due to daily city shelling – the problem with logistics of essential goods for babies appeared almost immediately. Every mother wants to give her child the best, but now not everyone can afford it. People for various reasons cannot provide themselves and babies with these essentials. Somewhere they simply cannot be purchased, and someone simply has no money for it. Many families lost income when they became unemployed, our city has many displaced persons with children. We try to help everyone.
The project team purchases goods without which it's hard for families with small children to manage, namely:
- diapers,
- baby food (formulas, fruit purees, cereals, juices),
- children's medications,
- feeding bottles,
- pacifiers,
- hygiene products for mothers (wet wipes, toothpastes, shampoos etc.).
Most likely, you have a question why the project is called "mom-mobile"?
The thing is that our volunteers weekly deliver complete sets for mothers around the city with two cars. And locals themselves nicknamed our transport, which regularly brings help, "mom-mobiles". So we decided to keep this name, and now it's associated with our initiative in Kharkiv. During the war, thanks to our actions, 7000 families received help.
One set costs 2150 hryvnias. Each route trip helps 400 mothers. So due to lack of permanent funding, a large part of needs remain unsatisfied. Mothers don't receive everything their babies need. Therefore, we need your help – caring people! Any amount you can donate for our children is important.
