Sports ground in Lymanivka: a step towards physical recovery and community unity
Can an ordinary sports ground really have great significance?
We are Charitable Organization "Together with You" Foundation. For over two years our team has been operating in Lozivska community, implementing initiatives for residents of Lymanivka village – for children, teenagers, adults and elderly people. We believe that despite all challenges and difficult conditions, it's crucial to have time for useful recreation, leisure and informal education.
At the same time, we understand that sustainable community development is impossible without active youth participation. Their energy and vision are a powerful resource for change. That's why we implement this project in close partnership with Youth Council at Lozivska City Council. After all, each of us strives to make our community and country even stronger.
Now you know more about us. But what does the playground have to do with the question at the beginning?
Lymanivka village is the second largest in the community. Currently over 7,500 residents and about 600 internally displaced people live here. However, there is currently no equipped sports ground for adult population on its territory. At the same time, we see that in modern realities sport often becomes almost the only accessible tool for physical rehabilitation for veterans and psychological relief for people living in constant stress.
So this is not just a piece of iron, not just some ordinary sports ground in the village – it's a place of recovery and unity. A space where veterans can strengthen their health, elderly people can maintain physical activity and prevent diseases, and youth and working population can reduce stress and tension levels. Besides this, it's also a place for live communication! Joint training and meetings will strengthen unity between local residents and internally displaced persons, increase trust and social integration. In the long term, the ground will become a stable point for developing healthy lifestyle and an example of how communities can unite around common solutions.
