Vyshyvanka Festival

This year, the national-level event Vyshyvanka Festival in Odesa celebrates its tenth anniversary! The Vyshyvanka Festival unites Ukrainians these days to honor our history together and plant seeds of common plans for the future.

You won't believe it, but in Odesa for ten years now the celebration of Ukraine's Independence Day has been organized by youth. This is a big and bright festival in the city center, whose signature events you'll probably recognize — the huge Flag of Ukraine on the Potemkin Steps, mass dictation in Ukrainian near the Duke, and the "Vyshyvanka Chain" — setting the vyshyvanka record in Odesa.

To conduct a quality festival of such scale, we need to improve the program every year. Therefore, right now we want to appeal to all citizens of Ukraine to support the initiative financially. After all, we create the festival together.

We believe that now it's important to popularize Ukrainian culture, patriotic education of youth and unite the Ukrainian community of the city around shared values.

We remind you that currently funding comes through Odesa patrons, sponsors and self-financing (social entrepreneurship). The festival is apolitical.
