"From Pain to Freedom" - nature therapy in the Carpathians for military in rehabilitation and family

Public Organization "Do.Voli"
Let's stand as a mountain for the military, as they stand for us.

Imagine a soldier with his family, who have never been in the mountains, discovering the beauty of the Carpathians and learning about Carpathian culture for the first time. Another soldier overcomes the internal barrier that traveling or vacationing in mountainous areas is impossible with crutches or prosthetics. Yet another soldier discovers new types of resource therapies - music therapy, art therapy, fairy tale therapy. And someone else finds energy and motivation to return to active life and interaction with society. This is how our trips usually look and you too can join in making this unique journey happen.
Full rehabilitation after traumatic experience, injuries and amputations is only possible with a comprehensive approach, where mental health plays a very important role, including its impact on physical condition. The "Do.Voli" project team offers a method that we generally call nature therapy. Participants have the opportunity to feel support and care from us as society, restore internal resources, make new acquaintances in a safe environment, be in nature and feel the majesty of mountains. And media coverage of such projects helps society better understand the needs and challenges we face during war.
Having experience organizing inclusive mountain trips for people with disabilities (about 5 years of organizational activity in NGO "On3wheels" Accessible Travel and about 20 events), with the beginning of full-scale invasion we directed our activities to support those who stood up to defend our country, organizing several retreats in the Carpathians (photos of which you can see below).
We believe that the Carpathians heal and cure souls. Supporting our project is your way to thank our defenders, and in the next photo report see photos of smiling soldiers you helped. After all, in difficult times soldiers became our pillars, and now it's time for us to become theirs.
