Project description: To increase the effectiveness of assistance and support for women who became victims of domestic violence, charitable organization "Light of Hope" actively develops its structural units. One of them is the Shelter for women affected by domestic violence. During 2022, 86 women with children used the services of this center.
The main goal of this center is to integrate women back into society. This is achieved through a comprehensive approach that includes providing supported living services, restoring independent life and social work aimed at overcoming the consequences of traumatic events.
Currently, special attention is focused on creating and arranging a communication space in the Shelter. This space includes a kitchen - a place for cooking and consuming food, as well as a dining room - an area for communication, learning and improving household skills.
A significant part of repair work and equipment purchase for the new food preparation room has already been carried out. However, to complete the project, including repair work and furnishing with furniture and equipment, additional financial support of 200 thousand hryvnias is needed. Implementation of this project will improve the quality of supported living services and reduce social adaptation time for women who suffered from violence. This will provide them with comfortable and safe living and contribute to their successful reintegration into society.
