Tourist Chornomorsk

Chornomorsk is a city with great potential for tourism development, particularly due to its location on the Black Sea coast. One such tourist element is Seaside Park — a green oasis in the heart of the city, which, despite its territorial attractiveness, is still not used to its full potential. This became the impetus for our team to create a project aimed at breathing new life into this park.
The project idea involves transforming Seaside Park into a unique space for recreation, photo shoots and walks. The concept involves planting exotic cherry trees that will serve as natural art objects, and creating a recreation area with authentic benches organically integrated into the landscape. Thus, the park will be transformed into an aesthetically attractive territory that will appeal to both residents and tourists.

Currently the park has several problems: despite its convenient location and significant space, it doesn't attract proper attention due to the lack of bright landscape elements and comfortable leisure infrastructure. This reduces interest from both local residents and city guests, who often choose other places for walks.
Solutions to these problems include planting rare plants and trees, creating a photo zone with natural elements, installing original benches and small architectural forms, arranging wheelchair access, and delicate integration of modern landscape design without harming the existing ecosystem. All decisions will be made with local authorities, which will allow using the maximum number of experts in space design.
Expected results of the project are extremely promising. First, this is increasing Chornomorsk's tourist attractiveness, as the renovated park space will become a true calling card of the city. Residents and tourists will get a modern space for recreation, communication and cultural life. The park will become a favorite place for walks, family leisure and bright photo shoots, which will guarantee recognition of both the location itself and the city as a whole.
The project was developed by a team of initiative group for creating youth council under Chornomorsk mayor, consisting of three active young people who already have experience implementing local initiatives, particularly with support from international grant programs. The team has competencies in project management, community communication and modern public space organization.
This project is an example of how youth can influence urban development and change the space around them for the better.
