Our organization "Volunteers Without Borders Foundation" was founded on 04.08.2016. Our fund's mission: Future without borders - equal access to education, opportunities, support for youth with disabilities and socially vulnerable groups in Zhytomyr.

For over four years we help youth with mental disabilities better adapt to life in society and conduct corrective classes, workshops, psychological support, life skills training, physical education, dancing and more. Our team continues working on developing the unique "Watermelon Hub Day Center for Youth with Mental Disabilities" project to create even more opportunities for youth with mental disabilities, help them better interact with the surrounding world, develop by discovering new possibilities. Life stories of youth visiting the Center are impressive, having congenital intellectual disabilities, each achieves great results to be adapted for life.
A wonderful example of our student is Igor, a 22-year-old guy with Down Syndrome who inspires with his intellect and talent. Igor can sew on a sewing machine, can cook food, helps parents at home. Igor is very happy about new acquaintances, quickly finds friends, and also went to the pool where he also had achievements with certificates and medals, loves sports very much, especially football. His story is a bright example of how every person can have unique talents and do incredible things. Igor's story is an example of how to see positive in every day. Every success story we see among our students shows that all young people have the right to development and self-realization regardless of presence or absence of disabilities.
Main activities of our organization are education and life adaptation for youth with disabilities, development and psychological relief for children from socially vulnerable population groups, helping women in difficult circumstances and supporting elderly people, including IDPs.
This project plans to open two important locations for "Watermelon Hub Day Center for Youth with Mental Disabilities" - physical rehabilitation office and massage office.
Your charitable contributions will help make the Center better. Here youth with mental disabilities receive support, education and physical development that improves their lives. At the Center they learn to be independent and develop their abilities.
