Sorting station. Central collection point for Humanitarian aid for those in need.

The "Second Life of Your Things" project has been operating since 2016.
The goal of this project is to help Odessa residents get rid of unwanted items and provide assistance to low-income, large families and socially vulnerable populations.

We collect clothes, shoes, household chemicals, children's toys, furniture and other humanitarian aid. And those in need receive items completely free.
The project also has an environmental component. With its help, tons of clothing don't end up in landfills, but find new life. By reusing clothing, we help reduce the production of new items. This saves our planet's resources and reduces manufacturing waste.
Over 5 years, the "Second Life of Your Things" project has gained many supporters, thanks to whom each year we've been able to help an increasing number of people in need.
To process items we involve volunteers. They work in a shipping container. There's no lighting or ventilation, and the container itself is very vulnerable to weather. Its walls are icy in winter and heat up severely in summer.
Also, the volume of items has long outgrown one container and it's necessary to create additional space for their collection and sorting.
Now we intend to modernize the workspace of the "Second Life of Your Things" project and create our own Humanitarian Aid Sorting Station.
Money raised through crowdfunding will go toward:
- electrical installation
- ventilation installation
- shelf installation for sorting items by categories
- concrete work around the container area
- canopy construction
This will not only improve volunteer working conditions, but also enable processing more items in shorter timeframes.
