Systematic attraction of foreign grants to city projects
Launched on: 05.08.2015

A team of specialists will be assembled who can become a bridge between international foundation grants and Odessa's social projects.

Working with foundations that provide grants for city projects is substantial support for city development. We can not only implement excellent social projects, but also attract money to the region and create new jobs.

The advantages of cooperating with foundations is that grants provide free support to projects that are not profitable, but play an important role in society development, and support amounts can be quite significant and don't require reciprocal services.

The difficulties are that grant funds are strictly targeted, obtaining them requires very clear and advance project planning and, as a rule, very strict reporting on their use.

Preparing a project to receive a grant is quite complex, and it's easier for large organizations that have specialists of various profiles on staff, ready to participate in this work. But the experience of preparing and receiving grants from many organizations shows that it's possible to prepare such documents with just two-three active employees, and the most complex is the first experience, which later allows significantly easing each subsequent one.

Large number of activists and good projects, but lack of funding sources.
