Installation of boxes with eco-bags for dog cleanup
Launched on: 17.06.2016

Just a few months ago, the suggestion to clean up waste after dogs caused bewilderment. Today, you can increasingly see dog owners on city streets with bags and special scoops collecting all the "surprises".

The vast majority of dog owners don't want to clean up after their animals at all, justifying their position by the lack of necessary conditions, government passivity, inability to simultaneously watch the dog and collect excrement and, of course, the disarming "if everyone cleaned up, then I would too". Additionally, the bags we plan to use are paper and environmentally friendly.

We want to change the current state of affairs and create a sustainable opinion among people that cleaning up after dogs is necessary and simple. For this purpose, as a pilot project, we will install several boxes to check how useful and viable they are overall, and be able to share the experience with Odessa residents later.

  1. The problem of city street pollution with animal excrement.
  2. The problem of high risk of animals and people getting infected with dangerous helminths when in contact with feces.
  3. The problem of hygiene and ecological disposal of excrement.

1. Installing special boxes with bags for dog cleanup.
2. Instilling the idea that cleaning up after dogs is necessary.
3. Setting an example for business and individuals that anyone can install such boxes.
4. Testing the model of installing such boxes.
