Christmas Residence of Good 2018

In difficult times, we especially want a miracle. We at the "Good Samaritan" charitable foundation believe that everyone can create miracles and do good.

That's why every year we organize the Residence of Good!

For 25 years now, despite any circumstances in the country and city, our foundation has been helping those who need it.

The goal of the Residence: to help people do good deeds and show that charity is simple, fun and pleasant!

The Residence of Good is a 9-day fair in the very center of Odesa, on Deribasovskaya. The fair combines master classes for adults and children, Christmas performances, carol marathons and a warm food court. But most importantly, it supports four charitable projects!

1) "Gather a Good Gift"

We know for sure that it's not enough to visit a shelter/orphanage once a year and bring toys and sweets to children. You need to constantly work with them and help them socialize. For 25 years, the foundation team has been visiting our wards in boarding schools in Odesa region every week.

We collected their wishes and dreams about those New Year gifts that would really be useful to them.

You can help us collect these gifts by bringing some part or the whole gift to the Residence on Deribasovskaya.

Last year, thanks to the Residence of Good, we collected 2,561 gifts for children from orphanages and shelters.

2) "Second Life of Your Things"

New Year is a time to get rid of the old. You can bring your clothes and shoes in good condition to the Residence of Good, and we will give them to those who need them.

Last year at the Residence we collected more than a ton of clothing and gave it to those in need.

3) "Good Guest"

At the Residence, you can leave a holiday table set for lonely elderly people who live below the poverty line.

For more than two years now, we have been collecting food packages for grandparents and delivering them directly to the homes of those who so need our care.

4) "Special Christmas"

100 families with children with disabilities will receive gifts collected at the Residence.

We help Residence guests collect such unique gifts.

Our partners will supplement them with necessary medicines.

Last year's Residence in numbers:

This year we plan to hold the Residence of Good from December 21 to 30.

This is an absolutely non-commercial project and we organize all activities with our community.

And we really need your help. Renting a tent for the Residence itself for 9 days costs 80,000 hryvnias.

We ask for help from all caring people to make this New Year truly festive. And, importantly, equally festive for everyone.

The project team is already raising 40,000 hryvnias among its community. But 4 days is not enough for a holiday and we ask you to help us extend the happiness of helping others for Residence visitors.

The company that will provide us with the tent agreed to wait with rent payment, so fundraising will continue until the Residence closes.
