Psychological cinema club as an alternative leisure activity for teens, impacting future life and mental health of population

We, All-Ukrainian Charitable Organization "Convictus Ukraine" with years of experience in social services, are launching a Psychological Cinema Club as an alternative leisure activity for teenagers. Since 2006, our organization has been actively working to provide preventive services for vulnerable teenagers, youth and other vulnerable population groups.

Through our projects, such as Youth Club "STREET POWER", we create safe spaces for teenagers where they can spend time productively, receive consultations on health and personal safety, rights protection, violence prevention, online safety, and participate in leadership and skill development activities. Since the full-scale invasion began, we continue helping teenagers, paying special attention to their psycho-emotional support.

Psychological Cinema Club offers:

● Joint film viewings and discussions with psychologists;

● Development of personal skills and emotional resilience.

Cinema therapy helps teenagers see their own problems from the side, analyze behavior and rethink values. This promotes forming healthy thinking and behavior patterns, which is the foundation for further development and maturation. Implementing "Psychological Cinema Club" activity in Youth Club "STREET POWER" operations under psychologist supervision allows providing teenagers with quality services that impact their mental health and have a psycho-educational component. We plan for at least 300 teenagers to visit the club.
