"Artery" Project — Creative Workshops for Mental Health of Elderly People

Public organization "Our Heritage Reni" unites active community residents around ideas of supporting people, developing social interaction and preserving cultural and human values.
We have experience implementing social and educational initiatives aimed at community development, organizing creative events, interactive classes and socio-cultural projects. Our activities promote creating safe spaces for communication, support and self-realization of people of all ages.
The team works in close cooperation with local institutions, volunteers and partners, which allows effective project implementation and achieving real social change.
Why the "Artery" project emerged
Today in Ukraine, a significant part of elderly people face emotional isolation, increased anxiety and feelings of loneliness. War, forced relocations, changing social environment and loss of familiar contacts particularly affected the older generation.
We see that the problem is not only material support — people need live communication, sense of significance and opportunity to be part of community.
The "Artery" project was born from desire to return life energy to elderly people through creativity, community and support. The name symbolizes life flow — connection between person, nature and community that helps feel alive and needed.
What we do
The project involves conducting creative workshop series for elderly people, where participants:
will create items from natural materials;
participate in art-therapeutic practices;
restore social connections through communication;
discover new opportunities for self-expression.
Within the project:
✔ 8 interactive workshops will be conducted
✔ art therapist and volunteers will be involved
✔ safe support space will be created
✔ final exhibition of participants' works will be organized.
