"Space for student government: a place for ideas and decisions."
We are Municipal Institution "Lyceum "Maximum"" of Kropyvnytskyi City Council. More about our institution can be found on our social media:
At Lyceum "Maximum" student government has years of active experience. Our school has a real student parliament, and it's not just a formality — students organize all elections themselves, and every initiative here is born from the desire to act. We stay after classes, discuss, debate ideas, develop projects, organize events that change the school space and impact the community.
But there's one "but" — we still don't have our own space where we could gather, work on ideas, just be together. Every meeting is a search for a free classroom or corner. This takes time, slows down the pace, complicates work.
Despite this, we don't stop. On the contrary — our student government constantly moves forward.
- On First Bell Day we collected donations for AFU instead of flowers.
- For Defenders of Ukraine Day we organized an action with wishes on a flag and sent aid to the hospital.
- We constantly support animal shelters — collecting food, items, money, informing peers.
- We talk about important things: bullying, inclusion, sexual education, gender equality — we're not afraid of complex topics.
- We're not just volunteers and activists, we're also creators of the school's cultural space.
Here are some examples:
- The chess tournament that was written about in an ethics textbook? That's us!
- Art project about Ukrainian carols history? Us again!
- Concerts, contests, exhibitions, creating photo zones in the institution? All — our initiative!
We are motivated, creative and determined.
And we want not just to continue, but to develop even more.
We need a space that will be a true center of ideas, actions and inspiration. A space that will help us work efficiently, gather like-minded people and create change.
Because when you have a place where your ideas await you — you can do anything!
After implementing this project, these positive changes may occur:
1. Student government activation – more students will participate in school life, express their ideas and initiatives.
2. Improved communication – a convenient place for meetings, discussions and teamwork will appear.
3. Leadership potential growth – students will develop leadership skills, responsibility, planning and event organization.
4. More interesting events – with new space it will be easier to organize projects, actions, flash mobs, themed days and more.
5. Improved lyceum atmosphere – student initiative and activity will positively impact the overall school climate.
6. Inspiration for the future – this space will become a symbol that every idea has a chance for realization, and every student – opportunity to be heard.
The project has sustainable development, as the example of functioning student government will inspire other students.
