Bring Nobel Laureate to Odesa

Her books have touched the hearts of millions of readers worldwide. In her documentary works, she gave voice to hundreds of people — direct participants in the most terrible events of the 20th century: World War II, the Chernobyl disaster, the military campaign in Afghanistan. In 2015, the Nobel Committee awarded her the literature prize "for her polyphonic writings, a monument to suffering and courage in our time".

Svetlana Alexievich is a Belarusian writer and intellectual, author of documentary prose books "The Unwomanly Face of War", "Zinc Boys", "Voices from Chernobyl". The writer is currently working on a book about love "The Wonderful Deer of Eternal Hunt", which collects stories of couples from different generations

In August, Svetlana Aleksandrovna may visit Odesa for the first time with a public appearance. Dialogues with Svetlana Alexievich "I'm Writing a Book About Love" — the main literary event of this summer. And you can become its co-author by giving the city a meeting with the Nobel laureate.

If fundraising is successful, the meeting will take place on August 8 on the Green Theater stage. Moderator — journalist, author of the social-cultural project "Open Library" Katerina Gordeeva. After the conversation with the moderator, Svetlana Alexievich will answer audience questions in an open microphone format.
