Educational Defense Summer School
We are a private educational institution from Kharkiv – LLC PE KhL "Honey Academy" KhR. Our institution is located in one of the epicenters of military action in our country, so we were forced to restructure our work into an online format.
Currently, our team is located in different parts of Ukraine, but all are ready to defend our educational front, even under shelling and air raids. That's why after starting online work, we began involving not only our students but everyone who needed it. Thus, during spring more than 400 children studied with us.
Also, we began involving teachers from across the country who have currently lost their jobs. Today the school conducts full lessons with educators, during which children can master material, and teachers can find the most suitable forms and methods of delivering material at that particular day and time. Teachers also have the opportunity to check material comprehension or find weak points that need repetition. This format gave our school's students the opportunity not to miss educational material and even go far ahead during COVID-19 lockdown, and this year during war. Now our goal is to create an online summer school that will work for 2.5 months, from June 15 to August 30. This will give children the opportunity to catch up on the school program they were forced to miss during the war.
Registration in the project is absolutely free and available, primarily for children forcibly displaced due to military actions and who therefore didn't have access to quality education.
This summer, few parents will send children to camps or vacation, so the opportunity to engage in useful activities aimed at development is a wonderful chance for parents and children to spend summer months beneficially. Besides school program classes (math, Ukrainian, English, universe, biology, chemistry, physics, history), there will be psychological support for children, as well as various creative clubs that will help children engage in creative processes and restore their psychological state.
