"SeaMove point": a place for learning, communication and idea realization for students

We are a team of specialists from various fields: public sector, local government, education and social initiatives. We are united by years of experience implementing community projects and a common goal — creating sustainable solutions that work long-term and systematically.

In recent years, our team members have been involved in developing practical educational initiatives at the Black Sea Maritime College, particularly the electrical workshop space, as well as preparing to launch a sewing program. We have seen how youth change when there is space for action, trust and support.

At the beginning of this year, we conducted a survey among college students and teachers.

And heard a very simple need: we lack a common space, a place where you can:

– work on your own ideas,

– discuss projects,

– get acquainted with new practical knowledge and find like-minded people,

– just be together.

The college administration supported the initiative and allocated a separate room.

We want to transform it into SeaMove point — a youth coworking space, open to students, teachers and friends of the college.

Unfortunately, this room was damaged as a result of a rocket attack.

Walls, floor, electricity — everything needs repair.

Total amount of necessary repair work — 119 730 UAH.

Besides repairs, launching the hub requires:

– a laptop for educational meetings, presentations and project work,

– a microphone and audio interface for recording podcasts and songs.

– developmental and transformational board games that help get acquainted, build teams and learn cooperation.

Total amount — 47,288 UAH.

Part of the repair work (painting and installing outlets, switches, and lighting) students will perform themselves under the guidance of experienced craftsmen.

This is about responsibility. About wanting not just to use the space, but to create and develop it.

SeaMove point — is more than a room with furniture. It is:

– a safe place for youth (about 1000 students and their friends),

– an environment for the birth of student initiatives,

– a space for learning through practice,

– a gravity point for active youth of Chornomorsk.

In times when war destroys, we want to create. In times of uncertainty - give youth a sense of support and backing.

After project implementation:

• a renovated modern youth space will appear
• students and their friends will get the opportunity to form teams and work on their own projects
• the number of initiatives and socially important projects will increase
• informal interaction between students and teachers will be strengthened
• an active youth community will form in the city

We are not just furnishing a room - we are investing in an environment that will shape future community leaders.

SeaMove point is being created by the students themselves,

we, as an experienced team, only help the process become systematic and sustainable.
