Kharkiv Music Mini-Festival

About us
We are young and creative people who, inspired by a common goal and desire for change in the city, created Public Union "Cultural View", and now boldly work to promote Ukrainian heritage. Language, history and culture are the aspects key to defining one's own identity; these are the main topics we use to familiarize Kharkiv residents with, aiming to strengthen their sense of belonging to Ukrainian society.

The foundation of our activity is Conversation Clubs in Ukrainian. Over the past year we held more than 20 meetings: speakers at our events are people who shape the city's cultural life: Ivan Senin, Artem Vusyk, Dina Chmuzh, Hamlet Zinkivskyi, Zhenia Kurhan and many others!
We also organized 2 creative evenings: "Vinyl Evening" and "Culturalnyk", where we raised over 20,000 UAH for our military.

Charity and donations for the army remain the main beacons of all Cultural View activities: entry to our events is based on affordable contributions, at least half of which we send to current fundraisers of our friends.
About the problem
Working in Kharkiv's artistic and cultural sectors we often notice problems caused by war: people leaving, business closures, shelling threats. One such problem is cultural isolation of local niche artists. Many solo artists and musical groups live and work in Kharkiv who cannot perform on large venues and don't enjoy media popularity, which often leaves their creativity unfairly overlooked.
For city residents this problem manifests in limited access to new musical performances and cultural events. This also contributes to feelings of cultural poverty and community isolation, especially among those seeking new forms of expression and support for local culture.
About the solution
Our project aims to promote lesser-known Kharkiv artists by holding a music festival. This will be a great opportunity for beginning musicians to gain their first followers, get experience of a full concert, meet other performers for future collaboration.
By involving specialists from other fields, such as painting, culinary, humor, we will reach a much wider audience and diversify visitors' pastime, giving them opportunity to get acquainted with a Kharkiv artist's work, taste modern Ukrainian cuisine, learn to brew coffee by a special recipe and laugh at stand-up comic stories.
This will be a true multi-genre interactive event, where everyone will find an activity to their liking, expand their understanding of Ukrainian art and culture, learn something new about their city and people living in it.
Like any other, this event will be possible thanks to our defenders who daily work to fight for our freedom. Throughout the festival we will encourage people to donate to our fundraiser, and also hold an auction, the entire sum from which we will transfer to Ukraine's defense forces❤️
