Thank you to all the benefactors who joined!
Store food products, medications and heat food without leaving the ward. These are basic, but not always available conditions in our hospitals. Such familiar things will ensure not only improved treatment conditions for cancer patients, but also help patients and medical staff avoid unnecessary contacts, adhering to all precautionary measures during the Covid 19 epidemic and quarantine.
Facing the problem of lack of basic facilities in wards, going through treatment of their friends and acquaintances Maria Chupinina and volunteers of the public organization "DobroTAK" initiated the "Microkitchens in Every Ward" campaign back in September 2020. During this time, 9 microkitchens were equipped. Now the project continues and resources and funds are being collected to equip 6 more microkitchens in Kharkiv Regional Oncology Center.

The goal of the project #MicroKitchensInWards — to provide decent conditions for patients' stay in the hospitals of the regional oncology center in Kharkiv.
So-called "MicroKitchens" include the following kitchen equipment: refrigerator, microwave oven and electric kettle. That is, everything that will allow heating food, making tea or coffee and, if necessary, storing medicines at appropriate temperature conditions in their ward.

The #MicrokitchensInWards campaign is an initiative of the public organization "DobroTAK", which for many years has been helping vulnerable sectors, hospices and palliative care departments of hospitals. Board chairperson Maria Chupinina, volunteer and mother of many children, found like-minded people among relatives of Oncology Center patients Anna Saifulina and Olena Yermishkina. Together, the women were able to agree with the center's administration on interaction and improvement of patients' living conditions.
Implementation of the #MicroKitchensInWards project continues, over eight months MicroKitchens
were installed in 9 wards of Kharkiv Oncology Center (at Lisoparkivska 4, Kharkiv) in the following departments: radiation therapy, gastrointestinal oncosurgery, liver and pancreatic oncosurgery, hematology, chemotherapy department, thoracic oncosurgery, head and neck oncosurgery and in Regional Mammology Center.

Maria Chupinina, volunteer, board chairperson of "DobroTAK" public organization:
"I want everyone to remember that on the territory of the Oncology Center there is hope for recovery, good treatment dynamics. Recently two of my good acquaintances were treated here. They are both in remission. Currently, the mother of our volunteer Karolina Kudrina is undergoing scheduled treatment here. She has already undergone the second chemotherapy, is preparing for the third, and we very much want the conditions of stay to be good not only for my friend's mother or my relatives and friends, but also for every patient of these departments. So that women have ordinary household "perks" that just a kettle, just a microwave oven and just a refrigerator provide. We want this to be in every ward, but for now, due to our capabilities, we can make a microkitchen only in one ward per department, but we hope that friends will join us and as a result this will be in every ward."
