Paddock for rescued foal Roland

In Odessa, an active campaign is underway to rescue animals from exploitation. Volunteers find humiliated, mutilated dogs, cats, horses, and transfer them to shelters and holding centers for temporary or permanent care. But this is only the first step to salvation. Then comes long, meticulous, resource-intensive work to restore animals.

As a result of the struggle and thanks to the sensitive hearts of volunteers, Roland, a foal rescued from cruel, inhuman exploitation, found his home. When he was still very small, he was forced to carry tourists. At seven months, the foal already had rickets and exhaustion, and the saddle was put directly on an open wound on his back. Roland lived in a barn among mountains of garbage. Photos of the animal published in the media shocked all of Ukraine.

Animal rights activists saved Roland. Now he lives in the animal holding center "My Living Dogs" on Zhevahy Hill. Here his deep wounds healed, his spine partially recovered. They built him a special enclosure suitable for wintering. Roland has food and plenty of space for free grazing.

But that's not all the animal needs. To restore and strengthen the foal's body, vitamins alone are not enough - special training recommended by a horse breeder is needed. This requires a paddock - a fenced area where a horse can be released from tethering. This is vital for Roland. And we want to build such a paddock for the animal for a full healthy life. Therefore, we seek support from our city.
