Palms of Kindness — pottery studio for crisis families

UPDATED: The workshop roof has been restored. The project continues to work. You can read the project implementation report via this link.
Several years ago, an abandoned warehouse at 10 Sofievskaya Street became a pottery studio. Repairs were made and necessary equipment was installed.

Children from the "Road to Home" Foundation, more than 60 kids from low-income and troubled families, enjoy attending pottery classes. Twice a week, very young children from "Smile" and "Dawn" development and creativity centers are brought here — the little ones noisily and enthusiastically work with clay. Then older children come to classes with more serious tasks, so there's silence — everyone is absorbed in creating clay products.
By the way, the studio is not only for Foundation children; all kids who want to learn clay work can enroll.

Teachers aim to channel children's imagination properly. They suggest making practical items, from cups and plates to Ukrainian national style crafts. While kids sculpt, teachers tell them about culture and art. Lectures on various topics are truly interesting for children and broaden their horizons.

Conducting classes in the pottery studio becomes increasingly difficult, especially with cold weather, as the old building's roof needs immediate repair. Due to improper construction and excessive roof weight, walls are gradually collapsing.
Therefore, we're raising funds for major roof repair of the pottery studio space so children can work in safe and comfortable conditions.
After repairs, we invite all who helped to the studio opening.

In the studio, children open up psychologically, overcome stress consequences through art therapy, develop abilities, and socialize. They acquire new skills and knowledge.
Major roof repair will be conducted where the pottery studio is located. Repair is necessary for children to work in safe and comfortable conditions.
