Educational conference-game for children "I Want, I Can, I Will"

How to choose your path in life? How to understand what you like at 13-17 years old? Do you remember what you felt at that age?

Recalling ourselves at that age, we will offer teenagers from orphanages and shelters in Odesa region to participate in an educational game. Children will be able to try on the role of entrepreneurs and professionals in various fields, gain new knowledge, work on their projects in teams and present publicly.

How it will be:

Day 1: Children communicate with each other on topics that interest them most. Presentation of collective solutions for each discussion topic.

Day 2: Successful entrepreneurs share their experience. Children independently distribute into groups in one of five directions: cafe, clothing brand, beauty salon, hotel, fitness club. Children receive information about what a project should consist of, learn to work in a team, listen to each other and make collective decisions on the project.

They develop their own projects in the form of a business game.

Day 3: Teams form the collected material into a complete project and prepare for presentation. At an open pitch, where Odesa residents will be invited, teams present their projects. After the pitch, each child chooses a challenge for the next six months (for example, raise English knowledge one level higher), then the challenge is broken down into small steps so everyone understands where to start changing their life.

Date: September 27-29, 2019.

During the event, children from different regions of the oblast, like real travelers, will come to Odesa and stay in a hostel for 2 nights. According to our preliminary agreements with city hostels, the amount is 65,000 UAH. But we are also looking for partners who can provide accommodation on pro bono terms.

We, the team of the charitable foundation "Peace Manifesto," have been working with children in custody institutions of Odesa region for three years.

During this time we have implemented projects:

"Computerize the Shelter" — opened computer classes in the regional shelter "Svitanok" and in the boarding school in Ananyiv. Within the project we show children from institutions online tools for self-education.

"Shelter for Change". Within the project, more than 40 motivational trips were conducted for children from the regional shelter "Svitanok" (universities, enterprises, city tours, museums and nature, various workshops, climbing wall), spent more than 700 hours with children in the computer class, organized more than 150 creative workshops in the shelter (sewing, drawing).

"Sensory Room" — together with "Lohika" company equipped a bright room for children's therapy in the regional shelter "Svitanok".

And finally, "Open space" — a big event in the Green Theatre for teenagers from boarding schools and shelters in the region with open discussion of topics interesting to them.

This event was so successful and children liked it so much that we decided to improve it and hold it again in September 2019, so we ask for your support so that the event is at a worthy level and children believe in themselves as you believe in them!

We are looking for child psychologists and social workers in the field of children's rights protection for moderation during the event.

Also, to capture the brightest moments and preserve them for children, we need photographers and camera operators.
