FreshWave

We are the "Ecological Cats" team. Our story began a year ago with three girls who decided to take responsibility for the pollution problem of the Ikopot River and engage the youth of Starokostiantyniv in solving this ecological issue. We noticed that the river became dangerous for swimming, people began to treat the coastal zone with disdain. If this problem is not solved, it could lead to the disappearance of the beach area and deterioration of community improvement.

Therefore, we decided to create the "Fresh Wave" project, aimed at helping young people acquire new skills and receive important information about environmental conservation. Through various events and activities, we strive to engage youth in ecological responsibility and show how everyone can contribute to environmental protection. Our generation is building the future, so we know it would be a great idea to create an environment in schools where children could rest and simultaneously learn useful information that will help them in the future.

Our team has experience in youth volunteering. We participated in the "Upshift" program, where we also solved community ecology problems through interesting activities for teenagers. We organized quests, lectures, community cleanups, workshops where youth could learn about river problems in our region through various interactive activities.

Now we want to expand our activities into the educational sphere, so students can learn about ecology during breaks or through engaging events. We plan to create an eco-corner at Starokostiantyniv Educational Complex and conduct interactive classes and workshops. In this corner, teenagers and children will have time to spend breaks with interest and recharge from lessons. Moreover, they will be able to learn new information about ecology and how to preserve it. During our events, even more youth will be able to join awareness issues on this topic.

It's important that youth not only learn about city problems but also actively participate in solving them. With our project, we want to involve young people in keeping rivers clean. After all, teenagers are the future of our country, and we want them to feel their power in changing the environment. Our eco-corner is not just a place for learning, but also a space for rest, inspiration and cool moments. Here you can chill after lessons, play interactive games, participate in interesting workshops or just relax among greenery and cozy atmosphere. We want youth not only to learn more about ecology, but also really enjoy the process, find like-minded people and get charged with energy for change. Because eco is not boring, it's about a lifestyle that brings pleasure!
