Kharkiv Project Support Fund

In 2021, with the support of Netpeak Group and Evolution Business Park, the local platform "My City" began operating in Kharkiv, which — you'll never believe it! — was called "My City Kharkiv".

Spoiler alert: our Kharkiv platform is currently on pause, but the "My City" team doesn't abandon dreams and hopes of returning to full operation. Therefore we:
- Created a targeted fund in 2023, which was filled by both our business partners and simply caring Kharkiv residents who wanted to help various social and cultural initiatives of their native city come to life — 7 ambassador companies (including stepMONTE, Sloboda Studio) and 15 individual social investors.
- Throughout its existence, we accumulated 1,013,356 UAH.
- Conducted 2 public pitches, resulting in co-financing 11 Kharkiv social projects totaling 480,000 UAH, including "Nafta" Theater, "Bardak" Film Festival, as well as activities from "A Little Fire" Foundation and "Kharkiv Residents Together" Foundation.
- In 2024, we secured support from the International Renaissance Foundation (IRF) to conduct a crowdfunding intensive and distribute the targeted fund accumulated over the year.

Yes, it's already winter 2024, and the Kharkiv Project Support Fund still exists: as of December 1, 2024, we have 533,356 UAH, which we plan to distribute in March among pitch winners, where teams selected for training within that same IRF project can participate. Details here.
Why this fundraising?
Because we, the "My City" team, are a bit obsessed with transparency, and we also hope to increase the Kharkiv Project Support Fund to an ambitious one million hryvnias!

We're also seeking additional opportunities to support more projects. We're preparing an event to invite at least 15 NGOs, and there's no better Christmas gift for us than being able to co-finance not one-third, but all of them.
Every 10, 100, or 1000 hryvnias helps make Kharkiv region more inclusive, ecological, creative... and simply preserve its uniqueness.
