Aid for people with disabilities who lack social security

Our team has been working in Kharkiv since the first days of Russia's full-scale invasion. Initially, we were an initiative group and for 5.5 months helped needy Kharkiv residents with hot meals and food, thanks to charity friends who provided cars with hygiene products and food.

This way we could be useful to people living in basements of the city's outskirts, who were most affected by rashist shelling. These are the "Horizon" district and the now world-famous "Northern Saltivka". In total, our volunteers delivered over 6 tons of food and hygiene products to buildings in these districts.

Since August 2022, we were forced to establish a Charitable Foundation, as food supplies were practically at zero at that time, while the number of people in need kept growing.

From the very beginning of our organization's work, people who help Kharkiv residents with disabilities contacted us. Initially, only elderly people were on the list of those in need, but within a month, children with disabilities also started appearing there.

Thanks to our capabilities, our donors and friendly organizations in Ukraine and Europe, our foundation helps these categories of people by purchasing necessary equipment for a more or less comfortable life and food packages.

Overall, in 8 months since starting this direction, we've been able to help more than 400 Kharkiv residents. Donors from the "My City" platform also participated, thanks to whom we successfully completed several fundraising campaigns.

Currently, we urgently need help with food to support people with disabilities for the next 2.5 months who don't have state confirmation of their disability group. They don't receive help from social services, and all pension money is spent exclusively on medicine and some food.

From August-September, we've already arranged to transfer these people to another organization's patronage service, but until this transition, we need to provide people with the opportunity to eat. Currently, we have 21 people who urgently need support, having no ability to buy
