Feed collection for Kherson animals
Launched on: 08.06.2023

On the night of August 6, occupiers blew up the Kakhovka HPP. The terrorist attack caused total flooding. 80 villages and cities of Kherson region with about 16,000 residents were at risk. Water has already destroyed many settlements in Kherson region and continues to rise. Evacuation was declared in the region.

Meanwhile, rescuers and volunteers are trying to help not only people, but also animals. To save four-legged friends, they have to work waist-deep in water and under the sounds of explosions, as occupiers don't stop daily shelling of Kherson region.

Tailed ones are in almost every yard, but help has already been provided to many animals.

According to "Animal Protection Center" registrar Iryna Bukhonska, dogs are rescued more often, and no one has seen cats. Because cats are under greater stress due to water, and this makes them stop moving.

How to help?

Daily dozens of organizations evacuate animals to various parts of Ukraine, including Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions.

The GladPet team opens a collection for food for evacuated animals and essentials.

Previously our team has already implemented 3 projects to provide shelters with food and medications. One of them is Help for Kharkiv and Odesa shelters from GladPet 2.0 project. So we are confident that now, with joint efforts, we can help tails in this emergency situation.

After the animals receive necessary veterinary care and adapt after what they've experienced, we will find them families.

Your charitable contributions will support the furry ones on this path.
