Our story: how the "Good Home" project developed

Feldman Ecopark is more than a place for nature walks. It's a space created with love for animals and desire to change the world for the better.

Back in 2010, we founded the "Good Home" project — an initiative aimed at rescuing, rehabilitating and finding new homes for animals in distress.

During its existence, "Good Home" has helped thousands of animals. We restored their health, gave care and a second chance at a happy life.

Stories of rescued friends:

But with the start of the war, our project faced the greatest challenge in its history.

Why do we continue working?

Kharkiv, 2022. The morning in our Ecopark, as throughout Ukraine, began not with bird songs, but with shell explosions. But the strike on our beloved shelter became a challenge we couldn't ignore. Some animals died, many had to be evacuated under extremely difficult conditions, but we didn't break. On the contrary, this strike only strengthened our determination to save those who cannot protect themselves alone.

Despite difficulties, our motivation remained unchanged: "Good Home" must continue its mission — to rescue and give hope to those who cannot stand up for themselves.

Our experience is the foundation for development.

Over 15 years of the project's existence, we rescued over 30 thousand animals, organized evacuation of about 5 thousand animals from dangerous zones during the war.

The war only emphasized the importance of what we do and proved that we can solve the most complex tasks.

Pets remain abandoned, traumatized and defenseless. Now they catastrophically lack safe places where they would be cared for, healed and have their faith in goodness restored. Every day we receive requests for help.

Recently our cozy Swan Lake became home to . Birds from near Kupyansk were brought by volunteers, the swans lived with locals, but due to combat actions the family was forced to leave home, so the swans also had to become displaced. Now they are under close supervision of the Ecopark's ornithologists.

What do we want to do next?

We are restoring the shelter with spacious enclosures, places for treatment and rehabilitation of animals. We want to expand the shelter to help even more animals.

"Good Home's" goal is simple but vital:

  • Give animals a second chance at life in safety.
  • Treat, feed and rehabilitate them.
  • Find them new loving families.

Every contribution is help for a furry friend who has been through a lot.

Together let's become part of good changes!❤️🐾🐶
