Good Things

"Good Things" is an All-Ukrainian charitable project that originated in Odessa. Initially, this movement resembled a flash mob, whose goal immediately became clear to ordinary Ukrainians: to draw society's attention to the shocking volumes of items that are sent to landfills daily instead of being donated to needy people.
A simple solution was found for such cases. Volunteers began distributing bright bags with drawstrings. By packing unwanted but still good items in such a bag, Odessa residents hung it on the handle of any trash bin. This way, respectful treatment of poor people was demonstrated (they no longer needed to dive into trash bins searching for something usable).
Besides distributing bags, the project implements direct collection and distribution of items. The organizers have dozens of charitable events and many wards including orphanages, large families, and people in difficult life situations.
Thanks to partnership with Good Deeds Charitable Foundation, Good Samaritan Foundation, Step by Step, and "We+" organization, the "Ton of Good Things" campaign was launched in five Ukrainian cities, where volunteers collected and distributed about 8 tons of humanitarian aid. Many collection points continue operating now, and photo reports of current events and information about upcoming activities are regularly published on the website.
The "Good Things" project is open to partnership and mutual support of charitable initiatives.
