TIME TO CHECK
FOUNDATION EXPERIENCE:
CF "Zhinocha" has been actively working since 2022 to promote breast cancer prevention among Ukrainian women. Our "Time to Check" project has already helped distribute over 8150 leaflets through partnerships with 21 Ukrainian lingerie manufacturers. These leaflets became an important reminder for women about the need to care for their health.

PROBLEM WE SOLVE:
Breast cancer is one of the most common oncological diseases among women, which can be cured if detected early. However, according to the National Cancer Registry, in Kharkiv region breast cancer detection at the first stage remains significantly lower than the national average - in 2022 in Kharkiv region breast cancer was first detected at the first stage in only 7.9% of cases. For comparison, the highest rate in Ukraine was 29.9%, and the national average was 20.9%. In 2023 this rate in Kharkiv region increased to 17.1%, but still remains significantly lower than the highest rate of 29.4% and the national average of 19.8%.
Our goal is to change these statistics. We promote a culture of regular preventive exams and breast self-examination, because it's not just about health, it's about saved lives.
WHY WE SUBMIT THE PROJECT TO THE PLATFORM?
We believe that even small steps can create big changes. Each leaflet, each conversation about the importance of exams can be a starting point for someone who will see a doctor in time.
Now we want to scale our project in Kharkiv and the region, involving even more Ukrainian lingerie manufacturers, and also add clinics, doctors and even nail studios to leaflet distribution. This requires resources, and we are confident that together we can achieve the goal.
