Charity project "Territory of Care"

"Territory of Care" – is an activity of charity fund "Wings of Revival – East" that emerged in early September. Our goal – help elderly and critically ill people survive in frontline cities. This category of people during war found themselves one step from death, because they cannot exist without others' help.
In several months we already managed to provide much help:
- Systematic food aid was organized for 65 needy critically ill and disabled people, which will be ongoing;
- Donated two wheelchairs for disabled people, crutches, 4-support canes, support walkers with wheels and basket.
- Needy people were provided with necessary hygiene products.
Every day fund volunteers hear new stories about people they help. And one of them impressed fund volunteers more than others.

Kaplenko Maksym – 14-year-old boy suffering from quite rare muscle disease – Duchenne dystrophy. From war's first day the boy lived with father in occupation. But May 9 family was forced to move to Kharkiv, to Saltivka. In this area orcs daily dropped bombs and shells. Scary to imagine what stress for person who cannot sit and move independently. Unfortunately, patients with similar diagnosis live on average to 20 years, but with careful care life duration can increase to 35-40 years. Social service cannot provide Maksym with necessary equipment and father has to manage with improvised means.
Meanwhile CF "Wings of Revival – East" supports socially vulnerable population of Kharkiv city (Northern Saltivka) by organizing hot meal distribution in winter period. "Territory of Care" project involves purchasing and delivering necessary products for preparing 250 hot lunches.
All meals are prepared in Vmeste space, which from first days of full-scale invasion became humanitarian headquarters.
