Bike Pride Extreme Public Organization

We created our public organization because we believe that together we can much more effectively develop what we are so passionate about.
Starting many years ago with supporting local MTB (mountain bike) competitions, we came to realize that simple support with prizes for winners is not enough. We began helping organize the events themselves, and then started taking direct part in preparing these events and building the tracks necessary for their conduct.
We began supporting the cycling section of Youth Sports School #4, because the future of cycling in Odessa and Ukraine as a whole lies in the hands of children and youth. But no athlete can develop without training. There was practically nowhere to train in Odessa, except for tracks near Glechik restaurant on Delfin. Unfortunately, the location of this "velodrome" is associated with many difficulties, especially in terms of safety for both athletes and ordinary residents who like to spend their free time by the sea, walking along the Health Track. The intersection of bicycle trails with the Health Track created many inconveniences for everyone, especially in spring-summer period.
To ensure everyone's safety, both vacationers and athletes, we decided to find a new location for the bicycle park. Shkodova Mountain, near Babichev Pond, became such a place. We proposed a bicycle park creation project to city authorities and received agreement and full support from the mayor and his team.
Field meetings and a major volunteer cleanup with participation of municipal services and authorities were conducted. A large park that will combine tracks for mountain bike enthusiasts and motocross/motoenduro on Shkodova Mountain slopes will be built.
We are currently waiting for the final answer from city structures to begin full-scale construction.
We don't want to forget the social component of bicycles. It's a wonderful form of transport that improves health and saves nerves from standing in traffic jams, whether in a car or minibus. Unfortunately, the criminal situation, specifically the number of bicycle thefts, prevents this transport form from fully developing.
After thorough brainstorming, we came up with a project that will help develop bicycle movement in Odessa. We propose creating municipal guarded bicycle parking in key city points. Parking where anyone can confidently leave their bicycle knowing that in an hour, a day, or even a week it will be in the same place.

We hope this initiative will find support from the city and its residents and there will be more bicycles on the streets of the city center!
Besides social and sports projects, we conduct competitions, organize mountain trips, do everything somehow related to bicycles, because we live for this!
