The Largest Art-Pysanka in Ukraine
Launched on: 12.09.2016

Among Slavic peoples, the egg was associated with the fertility of the earth, with the spring revival of nature. Pysanka researchers note that pysankas reflect archaic Slavic ideas about the universe, and apparently pysankas existed among Slavs before the adoption of Christianity.

The egg serves as a symbol of transition from non-being to being, it is a symbol of life, joy, the Sun, especially the spring sun, which brings warmth, light, renewal of nature, whose life was bound by frost, ice and snow, like the life of a chick bound by eggshell.

Pysanka dimensions:

Height – 9 m (Ukraine Record).

Base width (diameter) – 7 m.

Construction of 9 parts (1 base and 8 "Pysanka" segments).

A wonderful event that will once again create positive news in the information space about Odessa.

The best places to install the "Pysanka" that are most popular and visited by tourists: Primorsky Boulevard (near the Duke) or Cathedral Square.

This "Pysanka" can become a wonderful tradition to redecorate the installation frame every year during Easter holidays.

Also, competitions for the best decoration variant can be held, thus involving Odessans and tourists in city decoration.

Perfect "spot" for selfies!!!
