16 concerts for people with disabilities
Urban Music Hall is the first and only accessible concert hall in Odesa, whose doors are open to people with disabilities in wheelchairs. There are no steps in Urban hall, all our audience are within arm's reach of musicians, singers, composers and have the opportunity to communicate with them at every concert.
Today, almost any music can be listened to at home, but this format cannot even approximately compare with the healing effect of being present at a chamber orchestra, quintet, quartet or violin solo concert by Antonio Stradivarius. Live communication in a cozy atmosphere where art lives makes any person's everyday life a little brighter, a little lighter.
We have planned 16 free concerts for people in wheelchairs. A special bus brings our guests from all over the city. The bus driver waits for them throughout the concert and then brings them home. Guests are accompanied by a curator - a physically strong person who can provide first aid if necessary. The cost of one transfer is 4500 UAH.
To attend events, you need to complete general registration and also inform the space managers that you need assistance.
The average number of requested seats for people with disabilities previously did not exceed 8 seats, but we have never refused people who need to attend our events, if there are more people willing, we will still be happy to help!
We invite other people to become part of our social initiative. Urban team gives our wheelchair friends a concert with an incredible multitude of irreplaceable notes, let one irreplaceable note be gifted by you. We are sure this is just the beginning, that the "Inclusivity Brings Together" and "Cultural Renovation" projects will have many like-minded people.
