100 Odessans (1 video)
UPDATED: the project team has already released 20 stories about Odessans. You can watch them on the project's official YouTube channel.
๐ About the idea:
The idea for this project was developing in our minds for a year. Inspired by the London project "1000 londoners", we started working on a unique format for our stories, focusing mainly on the artistic side of video portraits.
At the moment, 10 stories have already been filmed and we continue to actively work on the project.
๐ About us:
Maxim has been involved in editing and organizing filming for over four years. Co-founder of a hostel network for startups in Silicon Valley "Coliving Club". He is one of the organizers of the online school "Memoria".
Kirill has been involved in video production for over 6 years, filmed documentaries in Finland, participant in Critics' Week at Cannes Festival in 2012, worked as a videographer on a cruise ship for 2 years.
๐ About choosing Odessans:
Anyone who considers themselves an Odessan can become a hero of our video.
For us, registration, gender, age and nationality of the Odessan don't matter, the main thing is an interesting story.
Anyone interested in the project can suggest an Odessan's story for our consideration, and we will definitely study it.
โโ However, we have several rules:
- We don't raise political topics.
- Places in the project cannot be bought.
When choosing characters for our stories, we carefully study Odessans' stories. We always make the final decision ourselves.

We want this project to be created not only by us, but by all residents of our city. You can help us, for example, by reposting, volunteering, financially, and you can also suggest an Odessan.

Among Odessans there are many people with unique stories that broaden horizons, teach and inspire. But as the city develops and expands, many of them remain unnoticed.
These stories will help attract interest to the city's problems in various spheres, as well as increase its tourist attractiveness.
We plan to create a series of short videos in the format of artistic interviews with ordinary citizens (3-4 minutes).
