Humanitarian Aid
Charitable Foundation "Caritas Kamianske" operates within the structure of IBF "Caritas Ukraine". Our foundation's mission is to help the needy based on Christian principles.
Charitable Foundation "Caritas Kamianske" was created in September 2015 in Kamianske due to the need to provide assistance to internally displaced persons from occupied territories of Ukraine. With the beginning of full-scale war in Ukraine from February 2022, the foundation's activities expanded significantly. This is connected with the large number of internally displaced persons who found shelter in Kamianske and Kamianske district of Dnipropetrovsk region. Since 2022, CF "Caritas Kamianske" has provided assistance in Kamianske and in 12 territorial communities of Kamianske district. During 2015-2024, the foundation provided assistance to more than 70,000 displaced persons and about 3,000 local residents.

Today CF "Caritas Kamianske" provides the following types of assistance to those in need (IDPs and locals with vulnerability categories):
● Humanitarian aid (hot meals, food, hygiene products, clothes, shoes);
● Assistance in the form of medicine certificates.
● Group and individual psychological support;
● Legal consultations and case support;
● Social-pedagogical assistance to children;
● Development, leisure, recreation and socialization of children (including children with disabilities);
● Social support for individuals and families in difficult life circumstances using case management methodology;
● Trainings, mutual support groups, seminars and other events for various social groups.
● Minor repairs
● Temporary employment (money for work)
The project is really important as now in this difficult time for people and country, our beneficiaries aged 65+ having lost everything they built and saved their whole life, are left with nothing, not even hope for the future. Everyone knows and understands that elderly people desperately need medicines, as due to their age and stress almost everyone has high blood pressure, diabetes and other diseases that require money, and when a person has funds left after utility bills and at least some food, it's just pennies that can't buy anything.
We would very much like to convey to people the importance of this help, because almost nobody helps elderly people now, everyone understands that other problems are relevant now... But each of us has mom, dad, grandmother or grandfather, godparents and others who have us, but people we want to help have absolutely nobody... Just think about it...
Giving people hope, helping with the most necessary is the essence of this project.
