Kharkiv Art Residency

We are the team of art hub "Manivets", which aims to popularize Ukrainian culture and language in Kharkiv. Within our walls, we provide opportunities for artists to present their work, regardless of their activities and/or experience.

We have extensive experience in organizing and conducting various types of events. Such as musical and poetry evenings, workshops, exhibitions, lectures. A large part of our team participated in organizing and volunteering at various types of festivals, both in Kharkiv and in other cities. We also have experience organizing large-scale events from scratch.

Kharkiv is a city forced to choose necessary survival over its own history of culture and art. With "My City" we want to show that even under current conditions, citizens can create.

However, they need help. We cannot guarantee their safety, but we can facilitate the creative process, make creators' routine more confident and stable.

Due to constant shelling, creators have to choose in favor of ensuring life support, rather than in favor of an important part of their life - art. Therefore, we plan to provide selected residency participants with all necessary materials, conduct a series of educational events, provide space for networking and working on their own projects.

As a result, more creative people in the city will be able to touch their past artistic life and enrich the amount of art in modern Kharkiv.
