Document restoration for IDPs in Poltava region
Launched on: 12.11.2024

We, the all-Ukrainian association "VOLNA", have been helping drug-dependent people in Ukraine access medical and legal services since 2018. https://volna.in.ua/ Our team unites representatives in every region of Ukraine. For many years we have supported our community using money from international donors and benefactors. And this support gained new meaning with the start of the full-scale invasion. We helped evacuate people from combat zones, redirected them to medical facilities for opioid substitution therapy, treatment and prevention programs. We sought funds for material support, arranged temporary housing and rehabilitation. We continue doing this now. Poltava remains a receiving region for many IDPs, including many people in difficult life circumstances. Many lost documents, making it impossible to sign declarations with doctors or receive necessary treatment. For these people, 1000 hryvnias for passport restoration is a significant financial burden.

Our task is to help obtain new documents. This will enable socialization, treatment access and faster adaptation in a new place.
