"A Bit of Fire in Wonderland": summer camp for teenagers 9-17 in Kharkiv
Last year, the team of CF "A Bit of Fire" organized a day summer camp in Kharkiv for the first time.
Children visited whose parents can't afford summer recreation; those who have trouble making friends; who need psychological help, have family conflicts or are deprived of parental care.
"Despite the danger in Kharkiv, we managed to hold the first camp «Quietly» for children 9-13 years old living in Kharkiv. Most of them didn't leave during the fighting, while some came from areas where they were directly on the front line, so this camp was virtually their only entertainment that summer. Together we cooked hot lunches, drew a lot, did music and other arts." - say the organizers.
This year the team plans to create an exciting camp with psychological trainings, adventure pedagogy, themed locations in «Alice in Wonderland» style.
To organize a day camp for interested children in June, we need to raise 39,520 UAH. Another 18,480 UAH will be added from the Charitable Foundation's current budget.
