Warmth of Hearts: Feeding Those in Need

It all started in 2019. Initially β as a small initiative of a few friends who cooked soup weekly and distributed it at the train station. With the start of full-scale invasion, our pots became bigger, queues longer, and hearts even more devoted.
Over four years we prepared over 1,100,000 portions of hot meals, distributed 470,000 food packages, delivered gas stoves, wood stoves, generators to de-occupied communities and basements where people hide. We work in Kharkiv, a city living under shelling but not losing humanity.
We submit this project to continue feeding. To leave no one hungry. So everyone has at least one warm meal per day. In our kitchen β not only food, but also care, conversation, support. People who come to us often say: "I come not only for soup β I come for warmth".
Every hryvnia is an opportunity for us to:
- cook another meal;
- buy products and packaging;
- fuel the car that brings food to basements and hospitals;
- preserve the kitchen that sustains life in the city.
Why this project?
We decided to submit "Warmth of Hearts: Feeding Those in Need" to the platform because we see: food need is one of the most acute.
We surveyed hundreds of people from Kharkiv and region. To the question "What type of help would be most useful for you right now?"
over 52% of respondents answered: food assistance.
Another nearly 34% β material aid (clothing, household).
π This means that every second person we work with currently lacks access to food.
We dream of a simple thing β that alongside pain, care remains. And so those who have lost everything now feel: they are not forgotten. Every time someone receives a hot meal, there's a little more humanity in the city.
