Who are we?
We are the public organization "Buchach-ART". Our team has been working for over 14 years to make Buchach resonate on Ukraine's cultural map. We believe that art is not entertainment, but the language through which the city speaks to the world and to itself.

Our experience
Art-Yard is not just a name, it's Buchach's artistic soul, which since 2012 has brought together hundreds of artists, volunteers, benefactors and thousands of viewers. We have successfully implemented dozens of "Art-Yard" seasons, conducted literary readings, musical evenings, art plein-airs and other events. Our experience proves: even a small yard in an ancient city can become a center of great changes if it's backed by a sincere idea and a caring community.

Why are we here?
Art-Yard needs support. The pandemic and war have suspended the usual life of our space. Due to active community members leaving abroad and general uncertainty, "Art-Yard" fell silent. Nature quickly filled this pause: without daily human care, the cozy yard became a place of massive pigeon gathering, leading to heavy contamination of facades, banners and cobblestone.
In 2025, thanks to volunteers' efforts, we conducted several "work bees" and cleaned the location. With support from "Light of Reformation" Foundation, we managed to replace old banners, purchase basic speakers, microphones and additional chairs. The result was immediate — three mass cultural events last season proved that Buchach urgently needs such a place (see how we prepared: video at link).

We see how war exhausts people, and know that the environment on Agnon street is a real "resource place" for many residents, internally displaced people and tourists (according to Buchach Local History Museum - over 10,000 people took excursions in 2025).
Therefore, we're inspired by the possibility to make Art-Yard complete in 2026.
However, we understand it's impossible to create art where work results are nullified by bird droppings in days. An urgent need is installing protective spikes on all surfaces, which will keep banners and walls clean for years. Also, there's a need to purchase a new sound mixing console, exhibition equipment, devise mobile covering protection from sun and rain, install a signpost so every tourist finds their way to the artistic space, a "City Posters" announcement board and if possible restore bike parking for cyclists' convenience.

Social impact and changes.
Project implementation will allow:
- unite community and diaspora around love for the city;
- restore platform for professionals, amateurs, various events;
- create quality environment for psychological relief and rest;
- enhance Buchach's tourist attractiveness.
