"Ginger" Youth Initiative Center Space
We are the Public Organization "Ginger" Youth Initiative Center: We created "Ginger" as a space where youth can develop, create and find themselves through education, theater and community. This is a place where young people don't just learn, but transform, find themselves, begin to hear themselves and learn to influence the world around them.
Over years of active work, an active community has emerged around "Ginger": youth, their parents, partners and our friends. We create projects together, support each other, grow and develop together. Our team works with teenagers and youth; together we overcome the difficult path of self-awareness and formation, help them find inner and outer support, feel confidence in themselves and in the surrounding world.
Since the full-scale invasion, we worked mainly online. We eagerly awaited the moment when we could resume offline activities. But now we find ourselves in a situation where our space, the very home where all this happens, is no longer safe. The premises are in emergency condition, and we are forced to look for a new place.
For us, this is not just a move. This is about preserving the community that already exists.
During this time, it's especially important for youth to have a place where they are truly heard and supported. "Ginger" is exactly that space. Here ideas emerge, responsibility is formed, self-confidence and belief in change appear, confidence that something can be changed. Our projects cover many areas: educational events, creative meetings, concerts, competitions, themed photo shoots, forum theater workshops - everything that gives youth the opportunity to show and reveal themselves. We take on significant expenses related to organizing work and space functioning ourselves, but still decided to ask for help. We involve our community in fundraising because our space has always been about people and for people. Therefore, we invite everyone who resonates with this, who believes in youth and sees that change begins right now, who relates to what we do - support us. Even a small contribution will help preserve this space and let it live on.
We want not just to move, we strive to preserve this place and develop it.
