Space of calm and play: psychological relief corner in kindergarten shelter

During air raids, young children are forced to stay in shelters for hours. For a child aged 2-6, this is not just an inconvenience, but severe stress: confined space, anxious atmosphere, loud sounds and tension around can cause fear, crying, exhaustion, withdrawal or overexcitement.
We are raising funds for a psychological relief corner for children aged 2-6 with soft furniture, rugs, sensory materials, play and developmental elements. This space will help children redirect attention, calm down, feel more comfort and safety even in difficult conditions.
A psychologist will also work in this space, helping children gently process stressful situations, reduce anxiety, better adapt to staying in shelter and restore sense of emotional safety through play, communication and support.
What the funds will go for:
- soft furniture and rugs;
- sensory and tactile materials;
- educational games and toys;
- elements for creating cozy children's space;
- materials for organizing psychological support corner.
Expected result:
- reduced anxiety and stress levels in children;
- improved emotional state during air raids;
- creating shelter environment where child feels not only protected but supported;
- forming positive example of child-friendly shelter space.
Project implemented by NGO "Creative Ideas Agency" with experience in social and educational initiatives in Kropyvnytskyi community.
Every contribution helps create place where child during alerts will be calmer, safer and bit easier.
