Responsible Animal Interaction "From Idea to Action"

The project "From Idea to Action: Responsible Animal Interaction" is implemented by Cherkasy City Animal Protection Society "Friend" — an organization with over 18 years of experience in animal protection and education. Instagram: @drug.cherkasy.
The project's goal is to lead people from knowledge to real action, show how to help animals, and provide tools for it. Many people want to do good but don't know where to start or find support. We combine learning and practice so each participant can feel their power to change the world around them.
The project includes 3 open lectures with experts: veterinarian, lawyer, zoopsychologist. We'll discuss humane treatment of animals, importance of sterilization, legal aspects of responsible ownership and safe interaction. Lectures provide knowledge, and knowledge motivates action.
After lectures, participants will practice at Cherkasy City Dog Shelter: walking animals, socialization, observation and reflection. This isn't just volunteering — it's an opportunity to reinforce knowledge, develop empathy, responsibility and communication skills.
For those ready to take initiative, we offer coverage for up to 10 cat sterilizations. This is a chance to directly impact reducing stray animals and see results of your actions.
For the community, the project means more conscious citizens ready to participate in socially beneficial initiatives and forming an active volunteer community that will continue after funding ends.
For animals, this means well-cared, socialized and protected shelter residents, plus reduced stray cat population through sterilization.
"From Idea to Action" is a sequential program where learning, practice and personal initiative unite to create real change in Cherkasy. Each project participant doesn't just learn how to act but does it practically — bringing results for both people and animals.
