CO "International Charitable Foundation "Angels of Freedom" has been operating since 2022, helping to arrange shelters for children in Ukrainian schools and kindergartens. We have already implemented 11 projects for arranging children's shelters in Chernihiv and Cherkasy, conducted over 400 charitable events and improved shelter conditions for 4000+ children.

Today we want to help Troitsko-Safonivska gymnasium in Mykolaiv region. Starting September 1, 138 students will begin their studies here, including 55 elementary school students. These are children from large families, military families, displaced persons, and five children who have already lost their parents due to the war.

The school is located in Kazankivska community — one of only two communities in Mykolaiv region where offline learning is permitted. Therefore, it is especially important that the shelter is not just a hideout, but a real safe classroom.

Currently, the shelter has very old, uncomfortable furniture — some chairs are over 60 years old and do not meet the age-specific needs of children. They are far from providing children with a sense of comfort and safety. During alarms, students are forced to spend a lot of time here but cannot study properly.

However, we believe that even in a shelter, it is possible to create a place where children will feel safe, be able to learn, communicate, and maintain a sense of normal childhood.
