"Youth Space STREAM in Semiyanivka Village"
My name is Tetiana Luhova, I am a project manager, I work in the Development Department of Starost Districts of Poltava City Council, I look for opportunities to develop rural territories in the community in various fields.
I have experience in fundraising, as since early 2021 I worked in a rural community in Kharkiv region, and led projects from idea to final report, which received funding from state institutions and international funds. We believe that youth is the heart of the community. In times of war, they not only need support – they deserve it. That's why we decided to submit the "Youth Space STREAM" project to the "My City" platform. This is our opportunity to create a place where youth will feel they are important, they can, they have a future.
Semiyanivka village is one of 55 villages that is part of Poltava city territorial community, located 15 km from Poltava city. 1004 people live in the village, where 30% are children and youth.
I believe that even in a small village there should be a space where youth can feel important, be heard and realize ideas. And I want the Youth Space STREAM in Semiyanivka village to become such a place. Youth Space STREAM in Semiyanivka village is not just a place. It's a chance for youth: to find themselves, communicate, make friends, support each other, develop, gain new knowledge and skills, be useful to the community, create changes and feel their significance.
Implementation of the "Youth Space STREAM" project will bring important changes not only for youth, but for the entire community. This will be a place where ideas, friendship, initiatives and faith in one's own strength are born.
Project implementation will have the following results:
1. Improvement of youth's psychological state;
2.Youth will be able to gain useful skills for self-realization and future career, without leaving the community;
3.Activation of youth civic activity: learning leadership skills, project management, communication and civic participation, discussing issues that concern youth, submitting initiatives, discussing relevant community problems, finding ways to solve them.
