Doctor-clown. Birthdays
The public organization "FATHER'S CARE" was created recently to develop and breathe new life into the "Doctor-clown" project, which has existed since 2011. During its existence, this project has shown how important it is for children undergoing treatment in the hematology department of Odesa Regional Hospital to be distracted from constant medical procedures and direct their energy toward a positive mood and attitude for fighting the disease.
Since children cannot always celebrate their special day (namely their birthday) outside the hospital walls, our organization aims to organize celebrations directly in the hospital. We plan to select a special and desired gift for each child, give balloons, sweets (cake and pastries), and invite entertainers.
By organizing such a special day, we will not only delight the birthday child but also make other children, parents, and medical staff happier, which in turn will create a more positive and joyful atmosphere in the department, and this will allow (proven) energy to be directed toward fighting and recovery.
The hematology department is designed for 30 children. Currently, 14 children are undergoing treatment in the department, and this number is constantly changing. Our project is designed to congratulate 40 children on their special holiday throughout the year.
