Computerize shelter vol.2

Quarantine exposed the real situation with access to education for children from care institutions. And it is as follows: a child's right to receive education during quarantine is not being realized for one reason — there are not enough computers and laptops in the institutions. Previously, this need was covered by going to schools, which children from rehabilitation centers (CSPR) and shelters could attend.

Our charitable foundation "Manifest of Peace" focuses on distance education for children from boarding schools and shelters in Odessa region. (Projects "Shelter for Change" ,​ "Computerize shelter")​.

The foundation also implements workshops and events for children from boarding schools and shelters in Odessa region (Project ​"Educational conference-game for children I Want I Can I Will")

Now we understand that in the next few months, and possibly more, children will not have the opportunity to learn and develop to the extent necessary, let alone attend various events outside their institutions.

Almost none of us can imagine life without free internet access, without access to any information. Today, when everyone has switched to online lessons format, children from care institutions have been left behind in realizing the basic need for development and education.

Children's access to education and development lies on the shoulders of institution caregivers. And computers and laptops are very important and irreplaceable mediators.

Our foundation together with Odessa Regional Service for Children's Affairs launches fundraising and equipment collection. We call on you to help us collect funds or equipment/software and give children the opportunity to learn and realize their potential!
