CHYSTO.DE?! Turning dumps into eco-education centers.

We are NGO "CHYSTO.DE"- a community that saw much greater potential in Carpathian nature than being a "garbage dump", and chose to unlock this potential through cultural and educational projects, founding the environmental initiative CHYSTO.DE?!
We work in a format that combines positive experience, inspiring examples, cultural recreation, citizen science and game format.
We unite environmentally conscious citizens, people who strive to implement sustainable consumption models, as well as nature lovers, culture and meaningful leisure.
Your regular financial support will create a sustainable base for our project development and allow us to remain independent and consistent in implementing what we truly strongly believe in.

To inspire you to become co-creators of our community, we share key achievements:
1. Organized 27 cultural-ecological events - Ecopicnics by CHYSTO.DE?!, uniting over 3,000 people offline. Together cleaned Tereblia river valley and its reservoir - "Transcarpathian Sea" - of 137 tons of waste, 75 tons sent for recycling.
2. In cooperation with scientists, prepared scientific justification and initiated creation of "Transcarpathian Sea Shore" landscape reserve. Thanks to our activity, a new 0.91 km² nature conservation area was created in Ukraine. We defended it from development in court, clean it from household waste and study its biodiversity. We dream of interactive routes here that teach conscious consumption, introduce inhabitants and inspire to love and protect nature.
3. Launched two Eco Film Festivals by CHYSTO.DE?! - ecological cultural-educational events that through cinema art, expert dialogues and creative formats encourage rethinking human-nature interaction: 16 eco-film screenings from around the world, over 10 lectures, workshops and reflection sessions; engaged over 3,500 people offline; conducted two documentary filmmaking courses; supported 5 documentary projects about nature conservation in Ukraine through Roman Zhuk Cinema Award (co-founder who died in Russian-Ukrainian war).
