Inclusion & Culture in Mobility

Folk amateur theater Parostky NGO "Union of mothers of children & adults with disabilities due to intellectual & physical disorders in Kyiv "Sunny Ray" unites people with & without disabilities for creativity, promoting emotional & cognitive development of all participants, & for people with developmental features it is rehabilitation & habilitation, social inclusion & opportunity to show abilities. Rehearsals give a lot & integral part of theater is showing performances, which is especially therapeutically significant when combined with trips outside permanent residence. Our project aims to unite several components : travel from Kyiv to Kosiv in Ivano-Frankivsk region, showing performance "Small Stories of Big City", visiting landmarks & rest from constant Kyiv shelling.

Why is this important for our special actors?

1. Travel is always about development, opportunity to gain new experience, see interesting things, create unforgettable memories. But travel opportunity gains special meaning in inclusive art projects where they are not service recipients but creative process participants.
2. War exhaustion affects everyone without exception, but vulnerable categories especially need help, as they cannot always realize impact of extremely uncertain conditions on their health, behavior etc., so cannot ask for help timely, thus prevention is best - leaving capital with constant shelling is exactly such story.
